Functionality
This
Export Import Portal is a multifunctional portal
compiled by many different modules entirely
built in PHP scripting language and uses a fast
MySQL database as each of them has administrative
functionality and does not require deep knowledge
in web development and programming at all. UEI
currently runs under a Linux operating system
with Apache version - UNIX (1.3.26). Most of
the modules allow browser-through administration.
Below
are described in details all of the modules
and their administration functionality. The
list only includes the modules that require
administration and does not include such modules
that are self-running in general and do not
need any administration at all, such as search
engines, informational pages etc.

(Site
Administration - General)
In general, the site administrator (web master / team) is
having great flexibility to effectively administer the whole
UEI web site while monitoring the processes inside the UEI's
web properties.
The
current hosting plan includes all the latest state of the
art technologies and ecommerce features enabling the UEI
Portal to run with an ease.
Some of the extras include: unlimited domain and sub domains,
MySQL database, PHP - version 4.2.2., large web space included,
unlimited email accounts, forwarders, auto responders, large
bandwidth allowed, mailing lists, FTP accounts, filters,
shopping cards, web based emails, web based comprehensive
statistics, Perl, CGI scripts, Chats, Forums, PGP Keys,
Apache handlers, Cron jobs, Hot Link protection, Error logs,
SSH/Telnet, Password protection, FTP managers, File managers,
FrontPage Extensions and lot of other specific features
too long to be listed here.
The
site administrator is being informed by email for any fraudulent
activity or for such activity the administrator wants to
be kept informed. The site owner is having access to various
of statistical information from raw log files to comprehensive
graphical statistics for the site usage, page views, hits,
time spent by a single user, IPs, countries the visitors
came from and much more.
(User Accounts Maintenance)
Each registered user can update its own profile with an
ease. The UEI administrator can see every single user registration
being made at any time for any period he / she needs. Additionally,
the administrator is able to send emails to all users at
once as well as to invoke specified group of registered
users by set of preferences such as member prior given date
or after given date or being not active member since any
given days etc. The administrator is also able to stop any
IP from accessing the site and setting up different levels
of access and modification rights as well. Each of the site
administrators is able to search for registered users by
using many different preferences, such as date of registration,
member since, email address, active not active user etc.
(Internal Messaging System)
UEI is having a great internal messaging system letting
the users to exchange short messages to each other as well
as the site administrator to effectively communicate with
each of the registered users as well as to all of them at
once, sending important announcements, alerts and whatever
the administrator wants. The message is available upon login
in to each of the users being targeted. The message can
be targeted by different preferences.
(Business Directory)
The administration of our extensive business directory allows
each of the category and sub-category to be edited, changing
a category / sub-category position along other categories,
as well to be deleted in addition to the capability an unlimited
number of categories and sub-categories to be added in as
deep level as you need. Automatically reports each broken
or modified link, the web sites added and need to be approved
as well as it allows each single web site to be deleted
from the directory. Automatically sends emails to the site
submitters to inform them either their web site has approved
or declined respectively. The module communicates with and
all information is stored in a MySQL database for a quick
retrieving. Additionally, the module avoids duplicate submissions
as well as automatically checks each of the sites being
submitted for their reliability, such as correct email addresses,
correct URLs etc.
(Public
Forums)
The site administrator is able to add, modify and delete
any topic or forum being added to the forums section of
UEI. The forum administrator is able to monitor and moderate
as well as to approve or decline the suggestions and opinions
being submitted for posting in the different forums and
topics. The site administrator has access to several of
statistical information related to the forums usage. Additionally,
the forum moderator is able to stop any fraudulent-activity
user from posting in the forum by suspending him account.
(Advertising Server)
The site administrator has the ability to add, modify, delete,
approve or decline any banner being added for rotation through
out the UEI's web properties. The site administrator can
create unlimited number of advertising accounts, unlimited
number of advertising campaigns to each of the clients as
well as he / she can track the overall performance of the
different advertising campaigns being set up in UEI's advertising
server. The ad server also creates great reports to be sent
to the client's email in various formats.
You are able, as site administrator, to watch a number of
comprehensive statistics for every client and / or all at
once such as the total number of impressions, click-through
total number, and click through ratio.
(News Module)
This module allows registered companies to post news and
press releases of their incentives and companies as the
administrator is able to monitor and approve or decline
the news being submitted in UEI. Additionally the administrator
can add an unlimited number of news topics, modify and delete
them as well. Search in the news archive capability is also
included for both the general public and the site administration
as well.
(Polls Module)
This module allows you, as site administrator, to add, modify,
delete and perform an unlimited number of polls to let the
users cast their opinion to the general public.
(Downloads Module)
This downloads module allows registered users to upload
and download business related software, programs, applications,
add-ons, scripts, modules and so on, free or paid ones and
you as site administrator can monitor that process as add,
delete, modify and approve or decline any file being added
for downloading in the UEI. All of this you can perform
through your browser with an ease.
(Trade Leads Module)
This module allows users to add trade leads for free while
the site administration is able to conduct monitoring over
the process in that specific module. Automate lost password
retrieving as well as user registration as the administrator
is being informed for each new offer posted. The whole administration
is through your browser. Adding new categories, manipulating
the MySQL database and other futures are also included in
the administration menu of the module.
(WAP Site)
This module requires some basic knowledge about WML files
and building of WAP pages. In here everything must be hand
coded and the module does not provide administration capabilities
through either web or WAP browser or any other connected
device.
(Self-Serving Text-Based Advertising)
It is something similar to already well-known Google system,
to rotate text ads on the home page of UEI as charging only
for the visitors, your web site receives (Cost-Per-Click).
The administration side allows you to set new categories
or keywords, modifying or deleting existing ones, creating
accounts and approving clients and ads as well as monitoring
the overall statistics and performance. Additionally you
can set any price per click you want and the module automatically
will deduct the price per click from the client's account.
(Mailing List Module)
Powerful PHP-based mailing list with unlimited email sending
capabilities and unlimited newsletters supported. Keeps
informed for any updates, news, trade alerts and featured
offers posted and sends notifications directly to the users'
email addresses. Preventing double entering of one email
address, automatically subscribe and unsubscribe option
as well as requires confirmation prior adding the email
to a given list. It has great administration area with many
different options.
(Featured offers)
The web pages that belong to this module require hand coding
to perform any administration. Basic knowledge of HTML is
necessary. Any entry level web developer is able to perform
that function with an ease.
(Investment Projects Module)
The web pages that belong to this module require hand coding
to perform any administration. Basic knowledge of HTML is
necessary. Any entry level web developer is able to perform
that function with an ease.
